Precision Milling
Pro-Mils' sub contract machining facility consists of five state of the art Asquith Butler CNC Gantry Milling machines operating out of three separate environmentally controlled manufacturing cells.
These machines combine to allow CNC component part machining in a length range up to 9,0 metres, widths up to 4,5 metres and a maximum height capacity of 2,1metres.
Each of these five principal CNC machine tools are laser calibrated on a scheduled basis, allowing control of permissible positional error to better than 40 microns over full axis travel in any linear direction.

These machines have up to 5-axis machining capability under full CNC control (Fanuc 15M or 30i); each machine is also fitted with the latest Renishaw radio probe (RMP60) together with inspection plus software.
The latest development from Delcam, Powerinspect is currently operational on 4 of our 5 gantries and provides a revolutionary enhancement to our production facility, specifically in terms of in-process inspection, on machine verification (OMV) and optimised setting procedures when performing 3, 4 or 5 axis complex machining operations.
We also operate two non-CNC Plano Mills for certain initial and post CNC operations.
